Jim started his career in the condominium and commercial real estate industry working as a State Licensed Community Association Portfolio Manager, which provided him extensive experience in working with consulting engineers, property managers, building contractors, and real estate developers. His job responsibilities included preparing budgets, developing preventative maintenance schedules, coordinating and scheduling facility services while communicating with and advising condominium boards of directors and building owners.
Being drawn to the technical aspects of building maintenance and construction Jim was offered a Regional Sales Manager position with a national waterproofing, painting, and restoration contractor that included developing and managing territories in west, central and south Florida. Jim successfully continued to grow the companies’ market presence and business while managing many diverse territories.
In 2010, RL James Inc. growth into the Tampa region enabled them to expand their sales team by acquiring a regional representative. Jim was excited when the offer presented itself, which allowed him the prospect of offering his clients a much more diverse array of services, and the ability to develop and strengthen new and existing relationships.
Jim was elected to the board of directors of the Florida West Coast Chapter of the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) in 2010, and is actively involved in industry organizations, such as BMI and CAI. Jim and his wife Jennifer, along with their two pugs, reside in Bradenton. His hobbies include fly fishing and boating.
